Product Information

BB-sc010x002-N-20

  • Gewicht 1.0 g

With this set you can attach 10 corsages without a pin. You get 20 neodymium disc magnets: you use two per corsage. One magnet goes on the back of the corsage, the other is held on the inside of the garment. The fabric sits in between, so there are no holes in a wedding dress, jacket or blouse.

Choose the version that suits the fabric

  • Thin fabric (dress, blouse): 20 × disc magnet Ø10 x 2 mm. Strong enough for thin fabric, without pinching unnecessarily.
  • Thick fabric (jacket): 10 × disc magnet Ø10 x 3 mm for the inside and 10 × Ø10 x 2 mm for the corsage. The stronger magnet goes inside, the lighter one on the corsage, so it does not tip forward.

Specifications

  • Contents: 20 disc magnets, enough for 10 corsages
  • Size: Ø 10 x 2 mm (holding force approx. 850 g) and, in the jacket version, Ø 10 x 3 mm (holding force approx. 1.6 kg). Holding force measured on a steel plate.
  • Grade: N48 (neodymium)
  • Coating: NiCuNi (nickel-copper-nickel)
  • Maximum temperature: 80 °C

How to attach a corsage

  1. Glue a Ø10 x 2 mm magnet to the back of the corsage or the corsage holder with UHU Plus epoxy glue. Let the glue cure fully.
  2. Hold the second magnet on the inside of the garment, where the corsage should go. In the jacket version, this is the Ø10 x 3 mm.
  3. Place the corsage on the outside against the fabric. The magnets attract each other through the fabric.

Tips for a secure hold

Why the fabric determines the version

The force between two magnets drops quickly with more fabric in between. So choose by fabric, not by who wears the corsage. For a heavy corsage, place two pairs of magnets side by side.

Glue or self-adhesive?

  • On a flower stem or florist tape: use UHU Plus. An adhesive layer sticks poorly to round, porous or damp surfaces.
  • On a flat, smooth holder: a self-adhesive disc magnet Ø10 x 1 mm also works. Press it on firmly and let it rest for a few hours before attaching the corsage.

Putting on and taking off

  • Slide the corsage sideways off the fabric instead of pulling it straight off. This spares the glue joint and the fabric.
  • Try it out a day in advance on the clothes that will be worn.
  • The magnets can be reused after the event.

Safe use

Do not wear corsage magnets if you have a pacemaker or other medical implant: the magnets sit close to your chest. If you have a nickel allergy, do not let the inner magnet rest directly on your skin. Magnets are not toys and must be kept out of the reach of children. Keep them away from bank cards and electronics.
