What do you use this magnet for?

Powerful: suitable for workshops and assembly, molds and fixtures, plates and heavier objects. The steel pot concentrates the magnetic force on the flat side, giving a pot magnet on steel much more holding force than the same magnet without a pot. The threaded stud protrudes from the pot; you screw it into a threaded hole or secure it with a nut. Which pot magnet should you choose?

How do I attach something to the threaded stud?

The M6 threaded stud protrudes from the back. Screw it into a hole with M6 threads, or insert it through a hole and secure it with an M6 nut.

How much does this pot magnet hold in practice?

Approx. 18 kg, pulled perpendicularly from thick, flat steel in direct contact. On thin sheet steel, through paint, with an air gap, or when loaded laterally, it holds considerably less.

Does it work on stainless steel or aluminum?

A magnet only adheres to magnetic steel. Aluminum and many types of stainless steel are not or barely magnetic. In that case, use a steel backing plate.

Can I use it outdoors, or without scratching paint?

The NiCuNi coating is intended for dry indoor use. For outdoor use or on painted surfaces, pot magnets with rubber coating are more suitable.
