How much does this magnet hold in practice?

Approx. 48 kg, pulled perpendicularly from thick, flat steel in direct contact. On thinner steel, through paint or with a small air gap, that can quickly be half or less. Sideways (sliding off), it holds only a fraction of that.

How do I get it off again?

Do not pull straight up, but slide it sideways off the steel or from another magnet. That requires much less force and prevents the magnet from flying off.

Can I use this magnet outside?

The NiCuNi coating is intended for dry indoor use. Outdoors or in damp areas, seal the magnet or choose an epoxy or rubber-coated magnet.

What should I pay attention to when working with this magnet?

Wear gloves, work with one magnet at a time and bring it together slowly. Two of these magnets can seriously pinch fingers and splinter when they snap together.
