Ball magnets (14)
Ball magnets are spherical neodymium magnets, available from Ø3.175 to Ø26 mm. The ball attracts from any position and forms chains and figures with more balls. This makes them suitable for creative and educational constructions, model making, prototypes and magnetic connections. The holding force per ball is lower than that of a disc or block magnet of the same size, because a ball touches a flat surface at one point.
Applications
- Educational setups and demonstrations, such as the experiments for primary education
- Creative constructions and figures
- Technical prototypes and modular designs
- Model making and hobby projects
- Hanging photos and cards on a refrigerator or magnetic wall
- Decorations and displays (Ø5 mm in rose gold, black epoxy and silver-colored)

Safe use: small balls can be swallowed and should be kept out of reach of children under the age of 14. Two or more swallowed magnets can damage the intestinal wall: if suspected, go to a doctor immediately. Frequently asked questions
Are ball magnets toys?
No. Even if you build figures with them, they are strong magnets and not toys. Keep them out of reach of children under the age of 14 and count them after use, so you can tell if one is missing.
Why does a ball magnet hold less than a disc magnet?
A ball touches a flat piece of steel at only one point. This makes the holding force lower than that of a disc or block magnet of the same size. For holding, therefore, choose a flat shape; for moving or rotating connections, choose a ball.
How do I attach a ball magnet?
Place it in a round recess or cup and secure it with a two-component adhesive, such as UHU Plus epoxy adhesive. A ball that lies freely in a cup will automatically turn itself towards the opposite pole: handy for connections that need to click into place from any position.
Why is there a size of Ø3.175 mm?
That is 1/8 inch, a size that is widely used in international designs and building kits.
Can I order ball magnets in large quantities for a product or educational set?
Yes. For larger quantities, volume discounts apply, for a fixed series we will make a quote, and as a company or school you can order on account. If you incorporate them into a product for children, please take into account the strict safety requirements for toys. Business ordering.
When will my order be shipped?
Ordered and paid for before 16:00 on working days, it will be shipped the same working day if in stock. Free shipping within the Netherlands from €45. Consumers have a 30-day cooling-off period.
