How much does this magnet hold in practice?

Approx. 31 kg, pulled perpendicularly from thick, flat steel with direct contact. On thin sheet metal, through paint or rust and loaded laterally, it is considerably less.

How do I remove it from steel?

Tilt it on the handle over the short side, or slide it sideways. Pulling straight up requires the full holding force.

What is it often used for?

As temporary fastening in the workshop and assembly: hold workpieces or molds, temporarily hang up a cover plate or board, or pick up and move steel parts.

What should I pay attention to when handling?

Hold the handle and let the magnet approach slowly. Keep fingers away between the magnet and steel, and keep your distance from other magnets and from pacemakers, cards and electronics.
