What do you use this magnet for?

Thin and light: suitable for displays, light flaps, model making and closures in cards and packaging. In jewelry only if fully enclosed and not in direct contact with the skin: the NiCuNi layer contains nickel. Because the magnet is thin, the holding force decreases quickly as soon as there is something between the magnet and the steel; for cabinet doors or heavier panels, it is better to choose a thicker size. Which disc magnet should you choose?

Convenient when using many magnets: with the magnet dispenser for 2 mm height and Ø15 mm, you can remove disc magnets one by one from the stack without getting your fingers between the magnets.

How much does this magnet hold in practice?

Approx. 1.8 kg on thick, flat steel when in direct contact. Because it is only 2 mm thick, the holding force decreases quickly as soon as there is paper, fabric or an air gap in between. For a cabinet door, it is better to choose a thicker size.

Does it work through paper, cardboard or fabric?

Yes, through a few sheets of paper or thin cardboard, for example on a magnetic board or in packaging. The thicker the material, the less it holds.

How do I attach it?

Glue it with a two-component adhesive, such as UHU Plus epoxy adhesive, or choose the self-adhesive version Ø12 x 2 mm.

Can I use it in jewelry?

Only if it is fully enclosed. The NiCuNi layer contains nickel and should not be in direct contact with the skin.
