What do you use this magnet for?
Thin and light with a wide contact surface: suitable for displays, light flaps, model making and closures in cards and packaging. Because the magnet is thin, the force quickly decreases as soon as there is something between the magnet and the steel; for cabinet doors or heavier panels, it is better to choose a thicker size. Which disc magnet should you choose?

How much does this magnet hold in practice?
Approx. 3.1 kg on thick, flat steel with direct contact. Because it is only 2 mm thick, the force quickly drops as soon as there is cardboard, fabric or an air gap in between.
Does it work through paper or cardboard?
Yes, through a few sheets of paper or thin cardboard, for example on a magnetic board or in packaging. The thicker the material, the less it holds.
How do I attach it?
Glue it with a two-component adhesive, such as UHU Plus epoxy adhesive, or choose a self-adhesive magnet if you want to stick it.
Is it strong enough for a cabinet door?
For a light flap, yes. For a regular cabinet door, it is better to choose the disc magnet Ø20 x 5 mm.
