What do you use this magnet for?
Thin with a wide contact surface: suitable for displays, panels, flaps, interior construction and exhibition stands where the magnet must take up little space. For heavier doors or panels: distribute multiple magnets over the surface or choose a thicker size. Which disc magnet should you choose?

How much does this magnet hold in practice?
Approx. 5.9 kg on thick, flat steel with direct contact. Through a few millimeters of wood or plastic, on thin sheet metal and loaded sideways, that is considerably less.
Can I recess it into wood or a panel?
Yes: mill a flat hole of Ø25 mm and 3 mm deep and glue the magnet in with a two-component glue, such as UHU Plus epoxy glue. This way it lies flush with the surface.
Is it strong enough for a cabinet door?
For a regular cabinet door or flap, yes, especially with a steel strike plate. For large or heavy doors, distribute two of them.
Can I use it outside?
The NiCuNi coating is intended for dry indoor use. Outdoors, you seal it or choose a magnet encased in epoxy or rubber.
Can I include this magnet in my own building kit or product?
