Neodymium pot magnet Ø20 x 6 mm, grade N40, steel pot with NiCuNi coating, with drilled/countersunk hole. Holding force approx. 11 kg.

Specifications

  • Dimensions: Ø20 x 6 mm (diameter x height)
  • Grade: N40 (neodymium)
  • Design: steel pot, NiCuNi coating
  • Mounting: drilled/countersunk hole
  • Holding force: approx. 11 kg
  • Maximum temperature: 80 °C

What do you use this magnet for?

Suitable for hanging light objects, displays, lighting, signs and mounting in workshops and interior construction. The steel pot concentrates the magnetic force on the flat front, so a pot magnet on steel has much more holding force than the same magnet without a pot. With the countersunk hole, you can screw the magnet flush into wood, plastic or metal. Do not overtighten the screw: the magnet material is brittle. Which pot magnet should you choose?

The holding force is measured under ideal conditions on a flat steel plate; in practice, the actual holding force is lower. Read how holding force is determined.

Frequently asked questions

Which screw should I use?

A screw with a flat countersunk head that fits in the countersunk hole; the dimensions are shown on the dimension drawing and in the datasheet. Do not overtighten it: the magnet material is brittle.

What is a good counterpart?

A steel plate, a steel ring with a countersunk hole or a second pot magnet. Two pot magnets with the front sides against each other pull each other strongly.

How much does it hold in practice?

Approx. 11 kg, pulled perpendicularly from thick, flat steel in direct contact. On thin sheet steel, through paint or with an air gap and loaded sideways, it is considerably less.

Can I use it outside?

The NiCuNi coating is intended for dry indoor use. For outdoor use, pot magnets with rubber coating are more suitable.

I want pot magnets and counterparts for a series of cabinets. How do I order that?

Order the pot magnets and the steel rings in equal quantities, so each cabinet has a matching pair. For larger quantities, volume discounts apply, and as a company, you order on account with a purchase order. Business ordering.

Delivery and returns

Ordered and paid for on working days before 16:00, it will be shipped the same day if in stock. Free shipping within the Netherlands from €45. Consumers have a 30-day cooling-off period.

Safe use

Magnets are not toys and should be kept out of reach of children. Keep strong magnets away from pacemakers, electronics and bank cards. Powerful magnets can snap hard against each other or against metal; keep your fingers away.

According to the data provided by the manufacturer, this product complies with the European REACH Regulation.
