What do you use this magnet for?

Very powerful: suitable for heavy objects in workshops and warehouses, on a thick steel surface. The steel pot concentrates the magnetic force on the flat front, giving the magnet much more holding force on steel than the same magnet without a pot. Place it on a flat steel surface and hang a hook, chain, or cable from the eye. The rubber coating protects the surface from scratches and provides grip, so the magnet is less likely to slide. Which hook magnet should you choose?

You only achieve the full holding force when the magnet hangs from the underside of a thick steel beam or plate and is loaded straight downwards. On a vertical wall, the magnet will slide away at approx. 11 kg: about 15 to 20% of the holding force. Therefore, choose a much stronger magnet for a wall.
