Product Information

SET-KASTDEUR-16

No more rattling cabinet doors. With this set you make 4 invisible, magnetic closures that you simply screw in: no glue, no hassle.

More affordable than loose: €1.89 cheaper than the same parts loose (€19.84), and everything is already together.

What's inside?

Specifications

  • Size per magnet and ring: Ø16 x 4 mm, countersunk hole Ø8.1 / Ø4.1 mm
  • Material: neodymium N35 with NiCuNi coating; counter ring of steel
  • Holding force per ring magnet: approx. 1.4 kg on a steel plate; north against south gives the most force
  • Screw: countersunk screw of 3.5 mm (maximum 4 mm)
  • Enough for: 4 closures (4 doors or 2 doors with 2 closures each)
  • Maximum temperature: 80 °C

Why this set?

  • Two options in one box: north against south for maximum force, or magnet against steel ring if you don't want to pay attention to the poles.
  • Screwing instead of gluing: the countersunk screw head disappears neatly into the magnet.
  • For kitchen, cabinet, camper and furniture making: small enough to hide, strong enough to keep a door closed.

How to install it

  1. Screw a ring magnet into the door, close to the edge on the opening side.
  2. Screw opposite that spot in the cabinet a ring magnet with the other pole, or a steel ring.
  3. Do not tighten the screws too much: neodymium is brittle and can crack.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the north pole and the south pole magnet?

With these ring magnets, the pole is fixed on the countersunk side. A north pole and a south pole variant opposite each other attract each other. Two identical ones repel each other.

Should I use magnet against magnet or magnet against steel?

Magnet against magnet holds the strongest and also works if there is a small gap between door and cabinet. Magnet against the steel ring is slightly weaker, but then you don't have to pay attention to the poles.

Is this closure strong enough for a cabinet door?

Yes, for normal cabinet and kitchen doors. For large or heavy doors, you use two closures per door, or choose a larger ring magnet.

Can I also glue the magnets?

Yes, with two-component glue. Screwing is stronger and you can still move the closure later.

Safe use

Neodymium magnets are not toys. Not suitable for children under 14 years: small magnets can be swallowed; seek medical help immediately if swallowed. Keep magnets away from pacemakers, electronics and bank cards.
